Hope that you all have a great Happy Thanksgiving today.

The electricity went out this morning for an hour or so..so T Lunch was pushed back just a bit, lol. It sure did get cold though and the oil lamp was a blessing.

Amazing how many things we take for granted in this day and age...

God bless ya'll!

richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God." Colossians 3:16

My new Magic Mouse

Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 9:35 AM
I just received my Mouse from Apple.

I downloaded the software from www.apple.com and I am good to go!

The Mouse is pretty smooth to handle especially when scrolling up and down. Using the index finger is all you need.

I tried the two finger swipe on iTunes. One finger does it all. It's very sensitive though!

One clear advantage is the lack of junk you get at the bottom of the Mouse over a period of time. Thus Mouse has two black ridges along the bottom that prevents the buildup of junk.

I think I will like this Mouse. Thank you Apple!

He Keeps Me Singing

Monday, October 26, 2009 at 5:02 PM
"There's within my heart a melody; Jesus whispers sweet and low, "Fear not, I am with thee, peace, be still," In all of life's ebb and flow.

All my life was wrecked by sin and strife, Discord filled my heart with pain, Jesus swept across the broken strings, Stirred the slumb'ring chords again.

Feasting on the riches of His grace, Resting 'neath His sheltr'ing wing, Always looking on His smiling face, That is why I shout and sing.

Tho sometimes He leads thro waters deep, Trials fall across the way, Tho sometimes the path seems rough and steep,
See His footprints all the way.

Soon He's coming back to welcome me Far beyond the starry sky; I shall wing my flight to worlds unknown, I shall reign with Him on high.

Refrain: Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Sweetest name I know, Fills my ev'ry longing, Keeps me singing as I go."

Kodak kiosks at Walmart

Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 6:34 PM
My iPhone has a camera on it, so I have no problem with digital pictures. I don't need to print them out.
My Father, though, is of the old school, and would like pictures printed out.
I have a mobile printer that you can insert a SD Card into, but having major trouble with the ink cartridge. Twice I bought ink for the printer, and both times, the result was very unsatisfactory.
So, enter the Kodak film kiosks that you see there at Walmart, normally with people crowding around it.
I had never used it before, so it was a little daunting at first. Yes, I had to get a little guidance, but got the hang of it real fast!
Those things are the bomb! Quick and a little expensive for the amount of pictures I wanted to develop, but overall, very good. I love it! You can even do mobile phones! I gotta check it with my iPhone :D

Spending the afternoon...

at 6:19 PM
...at Rockbridge State Park with my mother and nineteen other people hiking 3.5 miles enjoying what was left of the fall leaves. A beautiful day, but a muddy one at that. Thank goodness for the leaves on the ground. They helped it from getting worse. But a great day, nevertheless.

Somethings to think about Life

Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 4:49 PM
1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to wast time hating anyone.
4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone...It's more healing than crying alone.
8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11. Make peace with your past so it won't mess up the present.
12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.
13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.
15.  Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry;  God never blinks.
16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.
19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one  is up to you and no one else.
20. When it comes to going after what you live in life, don't take no for an answer.
21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special. (Ladies, only!)
22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.
23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.
24. No  one is in charge of your happiness but you.
25. Frame every so-called disaster with these words "In five years, will this matter?"
26. Always choose life.
27. Forgive everyone everything
28. What other people think of you is none of your business.
29. Time heals almost everything. Give time, time.
30. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
31. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
32. Believe in miracles.
33. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.
34. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
35. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.
36. Your children get only one childhood.
37. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
38. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
39. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.
40. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
41. The best is yet to come.
42. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
43. Yield.
44. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.
